Mental Health and Well-being: In focus

The lockdown measures put in place as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic has restricted human interaction and lead to some work-life imbalances. That's why we’ve built this permanent hub to give you and your team the resources you need to help combat the mental health and well-being related issues you’re facing right now.

Men's mental health

In Michelle’s latest video, she is joined by Matthew Bagwell who is openly and honestly talking about Men’s Mental Health. Matt is a breathwork instructor at Love to Learn to, and he delivers free classes on Twitter to help optimise physical & mental performance through breathwork.

As part of his story, Matt recognises that the subject of mental health needs to be discussed much more, particularly by men to remove the stigma around it. So, in order to raise more awareness, from September 5th 2021, Matt is completing the Run The Country Ultra marathon where he will be attempting to raise £105,000 for CALM (£100 for every 1 kilometre) - the Campaign Against Living Miserably which is leading a movement against suicide.

We all have mental health, and as someone who really cares about more people learning the tools and techniques to avoid burn out and to live more positive lives, this is Matt’s way of celebrating positive mental health and giving back to people.

You can help this amazing endeavour by getting involved. Every day, Matt will start his run at 8:00 AM - you can join Matt on his route (for 1km or however long you can), you can sponsor a run (the cost of a lifesaving call is £8), and you can share his story so that others can get involved as well.
