Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client for a permanent Plumbing & Heating Installation Engineer based in Tiverton, Devon for a market-leading heating and energy company. With over 15 years’ experience in the renewable heating sector our client is a leading installer of biomass boiler systems nationwide. Highly experienced in design, supply, and the installation of renewable energy technology.

They pride themselves on delivering the right solutions for their ever-growing customer base. They are looking to expand the engineering department with the appointment of a Plumbing and Heating Installation Engineer. The annual salary is Circa £30,000 - £35,000 PA depending on experience + overtime. The working hours Monday to Friday (40 hour week).

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake commercial boiler installations and project work on a national basis as per schematics and paperwork provided
Provide technical support to operations staff as required
Undertake detailed snagging lists and reports for commissioning’s, and assist with any parts lists if required
Troubleshoot issues, faults and attend breakdowns
Provide detailed reports and further action for breakdowns, including parts lists if needed
Undertake servicing and maintenance of boilers when required
Provide technical feedback to customers on the telephone and through site attendance
Accurately assess parts and labour required for installs / servicing / breakdowns
Responsible for undertaking risk assessments for all site visits
Maintain up to date knowledge of health and safety regulations
Supervising any junior members of staff where applicable
Ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to onsite

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

NVQ 2 in Plumbing and Heating
Commercial plantroom installation experience
Previous experience in a similar position
Full UK driving licence
Welding Experience – Desirable
Biomass Experience – Desirable
CSCS card – Desirable
IPAF/PASMA licence – Desirable

The role involves working nationally, so travel and staying away is a regular occurrence through the week.
