Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client and recruiting for a permanent PCB Inspector based in Bridgwater, Somerset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The main responsibility is to carry out inspection of Printed Circuit Boards in accordance with Quality and Industry standards.
  • Inspect PCBs to IPC-A-610, class 3 to ensure quality of product.
  • Inspect PCBs using magnification equipment & AOI.
  • Liaise with Production.
  • Assist & support production assemblers (discuss faults and findings).
  • Assist and support production assemblers by discussing faults and findings.
  • Manage and resolve inspection queries.
  • Monitor build quality and report quality issues as necessary.

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

  • To be considered for this PCB Inspector opportunity, you must be educated to a reasonable level (GCSE English and Math)
  • An IPC-A-610 qualification would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of working within a similar role or electronics manufacturing environment is vital
  • Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM)
  • Previous inspection and assembly experience to IPC-A-610 class 2 minimum desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on repetitive tasks
  • Able to work effectively to deadlines
  • Demonstrates proactive approach
  • Communicate clearly with all staff members
  • Dexterity, Good Hand and Eye coordination
  • Enjoys working as part of a team, displays support for others
