Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client for a Part Time Legal Cashier based in Taunton, Somerset. Working for one of the UKs leading solicitors firms you will be able to develop your career and work with a friendly, supportive and professional team.

The working hours are Part Time 25-30 hours Monday to Friday. The annual salary is £20,000-£25,000 PA pro rata dependant on experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Working with the senior legal cashier and supporting her with the following areas:  

To ensure that all Bank Accounts are reconciled daily and records retained.

To oversee the processing of client and office transactions including posting. 

To oversee the processing of any cheques and cash received.

To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client’s documentation and information.

To oversee processing of bank transfers, foreign transfers and costs.

To oversee the preparation and drawing of cheques. 

To oversee the administration and reconciliation of petty cash.

To update cashflow as required by the Partners and Finance Manager.

To provide other assistance to the Partners and Finance Manager as required.

Other administrative tasks as may be reasonably required by the Partners.

Checking and approval of completion statements.

Liaise withAccountants during annual audit.

Daily balance and cash flow reports to Partners and Finance Manager.

Credit Control.

VATAdministration and Returns.

Posting of client bills, payments and receipts.

Banking of all cash and cheques received.

Administration of the Purchase Ledger.

Obtaining authorisation from the Finance Manager for payment of invoices.

Processing and sending of CHAPS receipts and payments.

 

 

Experience, attributes & skills sought: 

Bookkeeping and accountancy skills.

Strong computer and keyboard skills and be confident using various IT Applications.

Previous experience of legal accounting.

Sound knowledge of excel.

A flexible working approach.

Must be a team player, proactive and friendly.
