Junior Demand Planner (7 Month Contract)

Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client and recruiting for a Junior Demand Planner (7 Month Contract) to join a global FMCG organisation! With the Head Office based in Cheddar, Somerset. This role will start as a ‘7 Month Contract’ and then be reviewed for permanent contract.  

The working hours are flexible to suit you 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday-Friday. The annual salary is £23,500 PA.

You will focus on understanding data and utilising it to make decisions that will affect ordering and plans for the companies’ network of clients.   You will be responsible for developing bespoke order profiles and plans and amending orders based on sales and waste data, seasonal trends, and customer requests. You will do all of this, in order to drive maximum sales, minimum waste, and maximum customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and utilise data to make calculated decisions that will affect production
  • Develop bespoke order profiles and plans
  • Amend orders based on sales, waste data, seasonal trends and customer requests
  • Drive maximum sales, minimum waste and maximum customer satisfaction
  • Interface frequently with partners inside and outside of the business to communication information
  • Work to KPIS such as networks sales and wastage targets

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

  • Setting up or using a price book system for till-based transactions.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting models and ability to create forecasts for business
  • Good mathematical skills and ability to quickly sense check for errors
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to react in a timely manner, and to communicate any necessary details to relevant parties
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • Understanding the complexity around the management short shelf life products
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and confidently make well-informed decisions very quickly
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work in a busy environment that dictates short and frequent deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team to accomplish goals and achieve KPI’s
  • Willingness to own one’s own development and drive new learnings with minimal prompting
  • Has worked in a planning or supply chain analyst role, preferably in a business that deals with short life products – Desirable
  • Has worked in a team environment that requires working with others in order to achieve specific KPI targets - Desirable
  • Has done extensive work with Excel, and is familiar with order management systems, and ERP packages (SAP, Netsuite) – Desirable
