Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client for an IT Assistant based in Taunton,Somerset - Working for one of the UK’s leading solicitors firms! Enabling you to join a friendly, supportive and professional team! Some remote working initially & some office-based.
An opportunity has arisen for an IT Assistant to join the IT Department within this innovative firm of Solicitors. It is expected that the successful applicant will provide support and back up to the current department regarding IT issues within the business. The IT Assistant will be trained to undertake a variety of tasks in order to gain all-round experience within the small IT Department.
The working hours are 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. The annual salary is £20,000, PA dependant on experience.
To assist the IT Department daily and provide assistance with software and hardware issues as necessary.
Provide day to day 1st line support to all users within the firm, offering them support and guidance in the use of our operating systems and associated software
Developing skills and knowledge in various areas ofIT;
Supporting the preparation, maintenance and refurbishment of equipment undertaken by the department;
Assist with the development and testing of the company’s case management software where required;
Ad-hoc administrative duties as and when needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work as part of a team;
Good computer literacy;
Confidence in using MS operating systems and MSOffice products (Word, Outlook and Excel);
Self-motivated and proactive, able to troubleshoot;
Enthusiasm to learn new systems and skills;
Excellent organisational skills;
Understanding of a range of IT software and hardware.
