Enable Futures are recruiting an Engineer for a fast paced, growing factory based in Poundbury, Dorset. The successful candidate will form part of an established engineering team to initiate and wherever possible improve best practice in all engineering aspects including day to day maintenance, computerised preventative maintenance scheduling and breakdown procedures.

The ideal candidate must ideally have experience in food / chocolate industry, be a multiskilled engineer and should be able to demonstrate

The working are 40 hours each week to be worked 8 hours Monday to Friday, between the hours of 6am & 10pm. Weekend attendance will be required on a rota system during peak season and call out on a rota system

The annual salary is £36,500 PA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and servicing all machinery, including mechanical and electrical aspects, in accordance with the companies IMS.
  • Troubleshoot faults with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a wide variety of solutions.
  • Monitor and execute PPM of plant and packing machinery.
  • Monitoring, setting and maintenance of the heating, water and lighting systems.
  • General building maintenance (changing light bulbs, emergency light testing, basic plumbing etc.)
  • Liaise with manufacturing and hygiene teams to ensure that plant and equipment is made ready and available for scheduled deep cleans.
  • Manage material and resources to ensure maximum up-time of equipment.
  • Prepare specifications and quotations for plant and equipment as required.
  • Ensures computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) are completed as required and maintained.
  • Carrying out other property, facilities and maintenance duties as required.
  • Work alongside and provide holiday cover for maintenance staff.
  • Project work where required.
  • Any other duties as required.
